Kyle Tallett has been a professional Radiographer for 30 years, and a photographer since his early teens.
Kyle still uses film and antique cameras for a few subjects. He holds the CAPG, LRPS and LSWPP and a member of Ashford Photographic Society. Don McCullin said the “photography is the truth” and that is the philosophy that he takes forward.
In an earlier life he would have been a photographer in a conflict zone. He loves photographing situations where an image can capture a moment in time. he loves portraying the truth but with an artistic twist. Although he often photographes wild animals (especially Hares) and Land/Sea Scapes, he really love portraiture. He loves bringing someone’s character out, using light and shade, intense looks.
Kyle strongly believes that photographs should say something to you, provoke a reaction and that’s what he looks to do. He is a big printer of his work. With todays digital generation, he feels that we will have a generation of lost imaging as people have turned their back on prints, something he will not do.
